Applied Electricity
Course Description:
Applied Electricity for Basic 11 introduces learners to fundamental electrical concepts such as
magnetism,
electrostatics, and
current electricity, along with their practical applications in everyday life. Through experiments and guided activities, students will develop problem-solving skills and a deeper understanding of how electrical devices and systems work.
What You Will Learn
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Explain the basic principles of magnetism and electrostatics, and demonstrate their effects using simple classroom experiments with at least 80% accuracy.
- Describe the structure and function of simple cells and construct a basic cell using available materials during a supervised practical session.
- Identify and explain at least four effects of electric current, providing real-life examples for each in class discussions.
- Analyze the magnetic field produced by a current-carrying solenoid and illustrate it correctly using labeled diagrams.
- Differentiate between shunts and multipliers, and solve basic current electricity problems involving them with at least 75% accuracy.
