Course Description:
This Civic Education course will empower you to become an informed, responsible, and active citizen by deepening your understanding of governance, human rights, societal responsibilities, and ethical values. Through engaging lessons and real-life applications, you will develop the skills to participate meaningfully in national life, promote unity, and tackle pressing social issues.
What You Will Learn
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- List at least six aims of citizenship education, five causes of drug abuse, and five key human rights guaranteed by the constitution.
- Explain the characteristics of capitalist democracy, the consequences of political apathy, and the importance of responsible parenthood, providing at least two original examples for each concept.
- Apply traffic rules and interpret at least ten common road signs correctly in simulated real-life scenarios.
- Compare and contrast different forms of popular participation and political apathy, identifying at least three similarities and three differences in their effects on governance.
- Design a community action plan aimed at preventing drug abuse or promoting national unity, clearly outlining objectives, strategies, and expected outcomes for implementation.
