Course Description:
This English Language course will take you on an exciting journey through the building blocks of communication — from mastering sentence structures, grammar, and punctuation to exploring the beauty of idiomatic expressions and the art of writing. You will also develop confident speaking skills through
oral English, phonemics, and pronunciation drills, empowering you to express yourself clearly and creatively in any context.
What You Will Learn
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- List and define the four main types of sentences and at least five common idiomatic expressions with 100% accuracy.
- Explain the difference between phrases and clauses and illustrate their use in at least five original examples.
- Apply rules of punctuation and capitalization to edit short paragraphs, achieving at least 80% correctness in class exercises.
- Distinguish between prefixes and suffixes and break down at least ten unfamiliar words into their root forms and affixes.
- Write a one-page report or summary that is logically organised, grammatically correct, and demonstrates appropriate use of oral English features where relevant.
