Course Description:
This Computer Studies course introduces Basic 9 learners to fundamental computer concepts,
data processing, networking, number systems, and practical applications such as Microsoft Word. Through interactive lessons and hands-on practice, learners will build the digital skills and problem-solving abilities needed for academic success and everyday life.
What You Will Learn
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Identify and explain key computer concepts, generations, and components with at least 80% accuracy in assessments.
- Differentiate between data and information and demonstrate at least two methods of data processing within three weeks.
- Illustrate and describe at least three types of computer networks and communication media using diagrams or examples.
- Convert numbers between binary, decimal, octal, and hexadecimal systems with 75% accuracy in class exercises.
- Apply Microsoft Word features (e.g., formatting, editing, and document creation) to produce at least one well-structured document that meets the given rubric.
