Course Description:
This engaging Visual Art course introduces Year 8 learners to the creative world of art through drawing, design,
lettering,
pottery, ceramics, and
African traditional art. Students will explore art materials, elements and principles of art, perspectives, and indigenous crafts while developing creativity, observation skills, and cultural appreciation.

- Identify and correctly use common art materials and tools, demonstrating proper care and safety during art activities.
- Explain and apply the elements and principles of art to create balanced two-dimensional designs and drawings.
