Course Description:
This Social Studies course equips Basic 7 learners with knowledge and values to understand their society, culture, and environment. Through engaging discussions and real-life examples, learners will develop skills for responsible citizenship, cooperation, and national development.
What You Will Learn
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Explain at least five key concepts of Social Studies (such as culture, society, and environment) with 80% accuracy.
- Identify and discuss two major social problems in their community and suggest practical solutions within three weeks.
- Demonstrate responsible citizenship by participating in at least one group activity or role-play that promotes cooperation and unity.
- Analyze a case study of cultural practices and compare at least two similarities and differences across Nigerian ethnic groups.
- Create a simple project (poster, report, or presentation) that highlights the importance of peace, tolerance, and respect in society, meeting the given rubric standards.
